Zhou Wenmo is a distinguished member of both the Chengdu and Sichuan arts associations. He is widely renowned for his amazing versatility and his mastery of all traditional Chinese art styles.

1997 – Represented China in the 7 European Tours and winning the award for overall best artist.
1999 – Displayed his art in the Beijing Chinese art museum and the Beijing Chinese military museum.
2000 – Commissioned to paint a large-scale collection for Chengdu government house.
2002 – Selected works loaned for exhibition to the Beijing art and poetry academy.

Painting description

Xi Shi, the first of the four beauties, lived during the period of time known as the Spring and Autumn Period, 497 BC. The period got its name from writings by Confucius and is a time of many warring states. She is celebrated as a woman of extraordinary natural beauty with a universal appeal. Although many have praised Xishi's looks, there is but little mention of her notable virtue - she had a great love for her country and her people, and said to be so entrancingly beautiful that fish would forget how to swim and sink away from the surface when she walks by
